The Royal Spa Hotel was built before the Great Famine and opened its doors to guests in 1832. The Hotel is a well maintained, historic landmark and proudly 'Listed' Co. Clare Heritage building which was the first hotel built in the sparsely settled area eventually known as the 'Spa' town of Lisdoonvarna Co. Clare.
