The Royal Spa Hotel was built before the Great Famine and opened its doors to guests in 1832.  The Hotel is a well maintained, historic landmark and proudly 'Listed' Co. Clare Heritage building which was the first hotel built in the sparsely settled area eventually known as the 'Spa' town of Lisdoonvarna Co. Clare.

The Royal Spa Hotel is located in the centre of the Clare town of Lisdoonvarna,  just 40 miles from Shannon airport.  Conveniently situated within walking distance of shops, the Church, pharmacy, pubs and the local amenity park, the Royal Spa Hotel offers visitors a calm, relaxing haven where you can unwind from your adventures and plan new explorations.  Clean, comfortable, family friendly accommodation and delicious home cooked meals are what is expected and delivered at the Royal Spa Hotel.
