The History of the Hotel

Built in the early 1800's, the Royal Spa Hotel graces the main street of the town of Lisdoonvarna at the edge of Ireland's National Park, The Burren.

During his career, Eamon DeValera presided over meetings in our main dining room, which today boasts a wide variety of excellent cuisine featuring fresh local produce.

Lisdoonvarna, famous for its Spa Wells, is a perfect location from which to tour The Burren region, Clare, Limerick, Kerry, and Galway. Ferry service to the Aran Islands and cruises past the Cliffs of Moher are located in nearby Doolin.
