She is a resilient senior woman who has experienced the ecstasy of love at first sight as well as the low of outliving a dysfunctional family. Her cats are her only friends and she cares for them as she would children. While she ponders their whereabouts she speaks candidly of her life, loves, losses and the experiences that make her who she is. In the sure hands of director Geoff Gould, well respected actor/writer John Murphy (Twice nominated for the Irish Times Theatre Awards) employs a language that is both hilarious in its pithy one liners as it is infectious in its infantile broken English, starkly revealing Mingey’s arrested development, as well as her life experiences.
